The Olympic Torch came our way today, its not often that the torch relay stops at the end of your street!

The Old Cemetery

At a bit of a loose end I drove over to Hartlepool to the Old Cemetery on the headland.

I wandered about with my camera using the popup flash to fill in the foreground,

maybe's a bit to much but I rather like the effect then Lightroom did the rest

Smoking ...

A while ago I experimented with smoke images, they are quite easy to set up

are are great fun.

I use a couple of joss sticks to create the smoke against a black background, lighting was using

a flash gun on a stand connected to the camera via a cable, several shots were taken to get the correct

exposure.

In Photoshop the image was inverted and then using the "Curves" options the colours changed

A great fiend of mine plays bass and shouts a lot in a punk band, "Snide Remarks".

A Cold and Frosty Morning

Popped out this morning up onto the North Yorkshire Moors with my camera, the light didn't quite play ball and got greyer as the day went on.

One bright spot was a wonderful Full English in a cafe in Helmsley
