Day of Action

On Wednesday the 30th of November I took part in the National Day of Action and along with several other odd million or so Public Workers went on Strike.

These images are just a few I took on the protest march through Middlesbrough Town Centre while marching with my fellow strikers

Durham City

The Luminere Event in Durham City attracted thousands to see the City lit up with light, including a giant snowglobe and projections onto the 2,000 year old Cathedral.

November the 5th

My local town always put on a superb fireworks display for the 5gth of November, 2011 was no exception

For the photographers among you, these were shot on a Nikon D700 with the settings of ISO1250, aperture of f5.6 shutter speed of 1/5th sec with the camera focus set to manual and focused on infinity

For the past few years I've been helping a local Drama Group produce a calender to help promote themselves. The majority of the group have a Learning Disability but are keen performers and this year the theme is old Black and White Hollywood films... here are a couple images for this year 2012... they are still work in progress but I hope you enjoy them

On the 16th of October 2011, the Teesside Transporter Bridge was 100 years old, a Grand Fireworks display celebrated the event

Happy Birthday Transporter

The Teesside Transporter bridge celebrates its 100th Birthday this October, as part of the celebrations there a light show to music on the bridge. I limped down there and took a few shots the other night

The 3 images above were taken at 1250 iso to speed up the shutter to allow me to capture the light beams while the one below was a slower ISO and no light beams!

With this shot below, I zoomed the lend from Telephoto to Wide angle during exposure, just messing about really
